Emblems โ€” identify, awaken, re-awaken, seal

Six operations, six catalysts โ€” including the Reawakening Stones, which are numbered by slot and not by strength.

Emblems have the fullest customisation chain on the server โ€” six separate operations, each with its own catalyst. Here they are side by side, so you can see which one you actually need before spending anything.

The six operations

Every one of these is a different recipe with a different material. Nothing here overlaps: identifying is not re-rolling, awakening is not enchanting, and sealing does none of the above.

What you wantWhat you use
Identify โ€” roll the options for the first timePhilosopher's Scroll

Re-awaken one chosen slotReawakening Stone 1 โ€ฆ 7

Rolling blind versus rolling in your class

The plain Philosopher's Scroll rolls from the whole pool. The class-directed scrolls roll inside your class's pool instead, which is the difference between hoping for something useful and choosing the neighbourhood it comes from. One per class:

Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Berserker) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Marksman) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Magus) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (War Kahuna) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Beast Master) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Templar) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Mercenary) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Cardinal) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Oracle) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Master Breeder) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Slayer) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Deadeye) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Void Mage) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Corruptor) Blessed Power of Change: Emblem (Overlord)

These same scrolls also serve as a re-roll, so one item covers both the first identification and every attempt after it.

The Reawakening Stones โ€” read this carefully

The stones are numbered by slot, not by power. Stone 1 re-rolls the first awakened slot, stone 2 the second, and so on to seven. A higher-numbered stone is not stronger โ€” it simply targets a different slot. Using the wrong number re-rolls the wrong line.

StoneRe-rolls
Reawakening Stone - 1Slot 1
Reawakening Stone - 2Slot 2
Reawakening Stone - 3Slot 3
Reawakening Stone - 4Slot 4
Reawakening Stone - 5Slot 5
Reawakening Stone - 6Slot 6
Reawakening Stone - 7Slot 7

So decide which awakened line you dislike, count its position from the top, and take that stone. This is the single most common mistake on emblems and it costs a stone every time.

Sealing

A Sealing Scroll locks the emblem so it can be traded or moved without losing what is on it. There is a permanent version and a 7-day version; the 7-day one is cheaper and fine for moving something between your own characters, but do not use it on something you intend to sit on. Guilds can also buy sealing scrolls from the Guild Hall for influence.

Changing just the skill

Every emblem accepts a Skill Changer โ€” all of them, not a subset. If the stats are right and the skill is wrong, that is a one-catalyst fix that touches nothing else. Only bother once the item is identified; there is no skill to change before that.

A sane order

Identify with a class scroll, re-roll until the stats are worth keeping, fix the skill with a changer, then awaken โ€” and only re-awaken the individual lines you dislike rather than starting over. Seal last, when the emblem is finished and you actually need to move it.
