The Eternal Buff Stone โ 22 buffs, and how to enhance it
Party-wide buffs for two hours from one item โ how to cast it, and how the level and enhancement axes make it stronger.
One item that buffs your whole party at once, for two hours, with twenty-two blessings. It is the single most valuable thing a farming group can bring โ and it gets stronger the more you invest in it.
How to use it
Eternal Buff Stone
The stone goes in your booster slot. From there, drag it onto a quickslot to turn it into a button.
Pressing that button gives you a ground-target cursor. Everyone standing within 20 metres of the spot you pick gets the buffs โ players and their summons alike. The blessings last two hours, so one cast covers a full farming session.
What it casts
Twenty-two buffs land at once: Rock Energy, Force of Sacred Fire, Asuran Haste, Shining Weapon, Divine Purpose, Gaian Strength, Shining Armor, the four Blessings (Vitality, Intelligence, Wisdom and Strength), Dark Might, Speed of the Wind and Wind Weapon.
On top of those come the TP skills: Insight, Rally, Angel's Force, Protector's Force, Howl at the Moon, Demonic Howl, and Heaven and Hell. No single class can cover that list, which is why the stone is worth carrying even in a full party.
Two ways to make it stronger
The stone grows along two independent axes, and they are deliberately uneven:
| Axis | Range | Material | Share of power |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level | 1 โ 10 | 30% | |
| Enhancement | +0 โ +20 | The four Eternal Upgrade Stones | 70% |
Enhancement is the bigger half and has twice as many steps, so the Upgrade Stones are the real chase โ the Essences are the cheaper, steadier half of the climb. A stone at level 10 and +20 is exactly twice as strong as a fresh one at the bottom of every buff's range: Rock Energy, for example, tops out at 577.
Enhancing the stone
Enhancement runs from +0 to +20, but no single material takes you the whole way. The four Upgrade Stones are tiered โ each one only works up to its own cap, then you move to the next:
| Upgrade stone | Carries the stone to |
|---|---|
| +5 | |
| +10 | |
| +15 | |
| +20 |
So the path is Stone I to +5, Stone II to +10, Stone III to +15 and Stone IV to +20. Feeding a lower-tier stone past its cap does nothing; make sure you are holding the right tier before you commit.
Enhancement is not guaranteed. The first step always succeeds, and the rate drops steadily from there โ the last step to +20 lands less than one time in six. Bring materials accordingly.
Success rate per step
The curve is a straight line: every step is 4.5 percentage points harder than the one before it, from 100% down to 14.5%.
| Step | Success |
|---|---|
| +1 | 100% |
| +2 | 95.5% |
| +3 | 91% |
| +4 | 86.5% |
| +5 | 82% |
| Step | Success |
|---|---|
| +6 | 77.5% |
| +7 | 73% |
| +8 | 68.5% |
| +9 | 64% |
| +10 | 59.5% |
| Step | Success |
|---|---|
| +11 | 55% |
| +12 | 50.5% |
| +13 | 46% |
| +14 | 41.5% |
| +15 | 37% |
| Step | Success |
|---|---|
| +16 | 32.5% |
| +17 | 28% |
| +18 | 23.5% |
| +19 | 19% |
| +20 | 14.5% |
Is it worth maxing?
For a solo player, a mid-level stone is already most of the value โ the first ten enhancement steps all land more often than not. For a group that farms together every day, the top end is worth grinding for, because one person's maxed stone buffs everyone within 20 metres. Split the material hunt across the party and enhance one stone properly rather than four half-way.
Where to use it
Cast it before you pull in the endgame farm zones โ two hours covers a long session, and the buffs apply to summons as well, so pet-heavy groups get double the value.
