Patch 1.15 โ€” September Update

Cosmetic skins now grant stats by tier through an appearance, two new scrolls raise a skin one rung, the staged Hell Dungeon pays by depth, creatures stop freezing and finally keep up, random skills cost a talent point and survive a reset, and both PvP damage rates come down.

Cosmetic skins that finally do something, a hell that pays by depth, and a creature that stops getting lost. ๐Ÿชฝ

๐Ÿชฝ Appearance and transmog

Cosmetic skins now grant stats by tier. Apply a wing or decoration as an appearance and it passes on a bonus that scales with its tier โ€” Common, Rare or Legendary. The bonus counts only through the appearance: wearing the cosmetic piece directly gives you its own stats instead, never both.

Gloves2% p/m defence5% p/m defence10% p/m defence
Boots2% evasion & m.resist5% evasion & m.resist10% evasion & m.resist

All stats means Strength, Vitality, Intelligence, Wisdom, Dexterity and Agility.

  • Worn directly, decorations follow a clean ladder โ€” 3% at Common, 6% at Rare, 10% at Legendary: attack on the helm, health and mana on the armor, defence on gloves and boots.
  • Two new upgrade scrolls raise a skin one tier, so a look you like is never a dead end. Rare Transmog Upgrade Scroll takes Common to Rare, Legendary Transmog Upgrade Scroll takes Rare to Legendary. Both always succeed, and the ladder is strict โ€” no skipping a tier. They drop in the Lava dungeon at the same rates as Costume Upgrade Scroll: Commander and Costume Upgrade Scroll: Veteran in Devildom.
  • 63 wings and decorations got proper descriptions in all six languages, and the three crafted wings โ€” magical, defensive and physical โ€” no longer borrow another item's name.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Hell Dungeon 2.0

The staged Katan hell instance is live. Each stage is its own channel, entered through the hell gate.

Experience now scales with the stage. Every stage used to pay exactly the same. Experience and job points now rise with depth: a quarter of the base at stage 1, full at stage 2, and roughly double and triple that at stages 3 and 4.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Equipment

Final Awakening Stone: Armor on belts. On a belt this awakening granted final damage reduction, which was never its purpose. It now grants an increased boss card bonus, as the belt slot intends.

โœจ Skills

Random skills are now something you choose, keep and pay for.

  • Master Random Skill Re-specialization Potion does what it says. It promised to reset only the random skills whose level you had not raised, and reset your entire skill tree instead. Ordinary skills are now untouched, and only random skills still sitting at zero are rerolled.
  • Resetting skills no longer costs your job level. A reset at the Job Supporter, with rupees or with job points, dropped you to job level 1. It no longer does. Changing job still restarts the job level, as it always has.
  • A reset keeps your random skills visible. They stay in the tree with their own icons at 0/3 instead of turning back into question marks. Spend a talent point on the one you want to keep, then use the Master potion to reroll the rest.
  • Random skills cost 1 talent point. Taking one was free; the first level now costs a point โ€” which is also what marks it as the one you mean to keep.
  • The tree no longer sticks at level 1. Random skill cells were pinned to x/1 and their arrow never appeared, whatever your level. They show the real maximum now, and when a level is out of reach the tooltip says why โ€” Required Level: 215 โ€” instead of the button doing nothing.
  • The level 205 and 210 talent skills have tooltips again.

๐Ÿพ Creatures

Creatures no longer freeze or get lost. A creature that fell far enough behind stopped moving for good. Its owner was no longer told where it was, so every order went to a position it had already left โ€” and any order to come closer was refused for being too far away. Nothing brought it back but walking to it. Owners now always receive their own creature's movement however far away it is, and a creature past the follow limit runs home instead of being turned away.

And they keep up. Base run speed rose to 120 on every obtainable creature โ€” most were slower than an unbuffed player on foot. Following updates twice as often, halving the distance a creature trails behind, and a buff or debuff landing mid-run no longer collapses it back to its own walking pace: slows and hastes scale the follow instead of cancelling it.

๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Interface

  • Ctrl, Alt and Shift move quantities again. Hold Ctrl and click to move ten at a time, or the whole stack if it is smaller. Hold Alt to type an exact amount. Shift opens the amount prompt too โ€” unless you are typing in chat, where it still links the item. Works in combine, storage, repair, destruction, decomposition and booth selling.
  • The Item Box scrolls. Only the first fifteen slots were reachable, so anything below had to be claimed one item at a time.
  • ENB Settings are translated โ€” every label and hover description in all six languages, as are the hell gate stage menu and Yushiva's menu.

โš”๏ธ PvP

Both damage rates come down, so fights last longer. Damage dealt to creatures drops from 0.0035 to 0.001; damage dealt to players drops from 0.008 to 0.004.

Enjoy the update! โค๏ธ
